It keeps on getting better.  My latest PSA was 6.4
Check out the water page and Dr. Schulze for insight as to how I am becoming free of cancer as well as diabetes and heart issues.  It is worth the time.

October 17, 2007
I had a PSA done on April 16th with very good results.  PSA = 12.3
I had another PSA done on October 6th with even better results.  PSA = 8.1

My Cancer Story (ancient history):

In early 2002 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer after a second biopsy. It was moderately aggressive (Gleason = 6) and involved both lobes. For the next year I tried various self-healing measures, diets, etc. Nothing seemed to change the relentless increase in the PSA (a test to measure the activity of the prostate gland which increases under any kind of assault - be it cancer, infection or whatever. This is the reason the doctor also has to do the finger palpation in addition to the PSA to have a better idea if there is cancer present.)

Early in 2003 the increase in my PSA and physical symptoms could no longer be ignored and I decided to try the external radiation option. It was quickly arranged and I received 39 treatments, basically one per day for almost two months in Vancouver, B.C. at the Vancouver Cancer Clinic. It was assumed that I had responded well and was now cured. Complications with accompanying infections of the prostate resulted in the need for a TURP (boring out the inner part of the prostate which had died from over-radiation and was now a wonderful growth area for bacteria). After everything settled down I was able to resume regular follow-up PSA testing which, right from the start, was not as low as expected and then kept rising with each subsequent test.

When the rise got to be alarming I returned to the Cancer Clinic to consult with the specialists there. When we analyzed the data it was clear that the radiation had not gotten all of the cancer and it had already metastasized to other areas of my body. I was told that the doctors could offer no cure and that at the rate the PSA was doubling I would likely live less than 5 years even with the delaying tactics (hormone therapy and chemo) that were available. This was definitely a shock. While at the Cancer Clinic (December 6, 2005) I had had another PSA test. Interestingly, it seemed to indicate a possible slowing of the growth. But why?

On the day of my last prior PSA test (Oct 14, 2005), I started taking Salvestrol after hearing about it from a friend who had heard Professor Gerry Potter (one of the co-developers) speak at a lecture in Penticton, BC Canada a few weeks before. When I returned home from the Cancer Clinic I used the appropriate mathematical equation to find the doubling time between each test and overall. I was able to determine that during the period of the previous two PSA tests, each about 3 months apart, that the PSA had doubled at a rate of 5.1 and 4.3 months. This is very bad news because a short doubling time indicates fast growth. However, during the first two months of taking Salvestrol the doubling time increased (which is good) to 20 months. During the next three months the doubling time increased again to 42.3 months (which is very good). This means that the cancer growth has slowed to a crawl from its very rapid growth only 5 months earlier. Based on these results, I will die of other causes before the cancer is a concern. I have been very conservative in my dosages. One capsule of Salvestrol Professional per day during the first two months and then increased to two capsules per day for the last three months. .

On March 21, 2006, I saw my urologist who had, at the last appointment, declared that the result must be a lab error. This time, with an even better result, he could see that this was not lab error and he wanted to know what I was doing. He asked for information about Salvestrol and said that he was going to investigate it. He said that I seemed to be on the cutting edge. What a difference in comparison to our last meeting when he had tried to make sure that I didn't have any false hope for a cure, and refused to discuss the data or Salvestrol.

I was fortunate in that my type of cancer is easy to monitor with a simple blood test. I don't think that is the case for people with many other types of cancer. But there has to be some way of knowing what is going on inside there and each person would have to find their own way to monitor their own progress with the Salvestrol treatment.

Based on my experience and the information that I have gathered re Salvestrol, I recommend Salvestrol to anyone that has cancer of any kind or is at risk for cancer. I am writing this for people to read because I believe that a great deal of unnecessary suffering can be avoided by using Salvestrol as a preventative (low dosage) or a curative (higher dosage) for all types of cancer. It can be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments recommended by doctors. If the situation is not an emergency or the doctors have given up, then giving Salvestrol a trial for three months seems like a good plan to me. Apparently the CYP1B1 enzyme which is the trigger for the Salvestrol is not produced by every person in their cancer cells. It is estimated that about 5 - 10% of people do not produce the enzyme. For those people the Salvestrol will not work as a cancer fighting agent. Personally, I tried Salvestrol for 3 months at the lowest possible dose (one capsule per day) just to see if it would work. I think that now, knowing what I do, I would have done the trial with a more aggressive dosage (1 Professional and 1 Gold per day). In five months my cancer growth went from exponential growth to almost no growth. In five months I went from about 4 years of life expectancy to 20+ years. Being as I am now 63 years old, I can expect to live well into my 80s and perhaps even longer. I will see my youngest grand-child graduate in 2017.

It is important to understand clearly that Salvestrol is not just for prostate cancer but works for most cancers and for most people. It works because the Salvestrol reacts to the CYP1B1 enzyme which is found in most, if not all, types of cancer cells but as discussed above not necessarily for every individual. I don’t know if an easily available test for the enzyme is available but a three month trial using Salvestrol is inexpensive with no side-effects and is very likely effective in beginning to destroy the cancer. It seems like a no-brainer to me, but we all have to follow our individual path in life.

It knocks me out that while surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and hormone therapy are the usual options offered by the doctors, God/Nature has already supplied a cure, with no pain, injury or side-effects, in the form of phytonutrients from organic fruits and vegetables. We live in a wonderful time when we can see good science being used for the benefit of humankind. The surgery, etc. are life-saving at times and are wonderful tools when you really get into trouble but often carry much suffering and severe side-effects. Salvestrol offers the possibility that for many people the surgery, etc is unnecessary. It also points out clearly the huge cost in human suffering of our current agricultural and processing methods that eliminate these life-saving phytonutrients from our food. Perhaps Salvestrol is another step in our awakening to restoring balance in our life support systems.

I intend to continue to document my personal experiment with Salvestrol. During the present three month period, I am taking One Professional and one Gold per day. I will be re-tested in mid-June/06. I expect that the result will be even better and perhaps show that the cancer is being eliminated and not just slowed down. It is also possible that the results will be initially good and then show a loss in effectiveness over time. This is most unlikely and doesn’t seem consistent with the internal logic of how Salvestrol works. But the more data that is available, the better choices people can make and also help researchers refine their research.

Well, it is mid-June 2006 and my PSA is still high (13.4) but has actually gone down some since my last PSA. It seems that when I started taking the Salvestrol Gold® formulation 3 months ago that a big rush of dead cancer cells entered the blood stream and has temporarily elevated my PSA. It seems that I may be over the top now and starting the descent which marks an end to this cancer. I'm afraid that for definitive results though we'll have to wait until September when I do my next test.

It is September, 2006 and I have had two more PSAs and they have both gone up dramatically even while I was continuing to take the Salvestrol.  This is disheartening.  I have spoken to quite a few people about their experiences with Salvestrol and the results are mixed.  Some people have had complete cures and others have experienced the same pattern as I have in which there is an initial good response but for some reason it eventually seems to be ineffective.

In November, 2006, I did the 30 day detoxification and cleanse program by Dr. Schulze called The Incurables Program.  It is very intensive and costs about $US450.  The principle that under pins this program is that if the body can have enough health, it will then be able to take care of anything that is not functioning in its best interests.  The program is best done with someone to support you.  It is difficult to do everything required in a day without someone to help you and also support you in your ‘weak’ moments.  The product can be hard to get into Canada because of one ingredient in one of the formulas that is banned by Canada Customs but I had no trouble ordering online.  I lost 30 pounds and had many gains in general and specific health issues.  I went for another PSA shortly after the cleanse (Dec. 1/06)  and for the first time in 4 years I had a 30% drop in my PSA.  One month later the PSA had risen slightly but is still much lower than before the cleanse.  I highly recommend this program.

My best wishes to you on your journey!

How to calculate your doubling time between any 2 test scores.

The equation is based on the formula for finding changes in population numbers or mass over time. The new population or mass is equal to the initial population or mass times 2 (for doubling times) raised to the power of the interval in years, months, days, etc. divided by the doubling time or half-life in the same units.

New PSA = Init PSA X 2 ^(# of days in mths / doubling time)    NOTE: ^ means 'raised to the power of'

Therefore, Doubling time = (# of mths)*log2/(log(last PSA/Init PSA)). This formula can be used in MS Excel or any spreadsheet. Note: * is' multiplied by'.   Sorry but you need to use logs to solve for a portion of a fractional exponent. Logs are available on most scientific calculators or spreadsheets. Also note that this calculation can be done in log base 2 which is a little more elegant but many calculators are not set up to do it. The answers are identical in either method. This is easier.

To predict the next PSA based on a known doubling time

The equation becomes:

Pred. PSA = Last PSA(2^(# of mths/known doubling time))

In MS Excel that looks like ---> Pred. PSA = Last PSA*(Power(2,# of mths/doubling mths))   NOTE: You only enter into the cell what is after the equal sign.

And students say that they will never use this mathematics in their future life!!! (I'm a retired school teacher.)

But what about the Good side of cancer?

For me, at this time, I feel fortunate to have gained so much from all of my life experiences of the past 5 years. Below I have made a list of some of what I feel have been the positive experiences, gains and insights that I have made during this period. I'll discuss each only very briefly as I understand each. You are welcome to take what feels right for you. I'll add more as I become aware of them. For today (March 25, 2006), this is what popped into my head.

All of life is a spiritual journey and therefore having cancer is part of my spiritual journey.

If life is made up of body, mind, emotions, and spirit, then spirit is the under-pining to each of the others. Thus a focus on spirit is essentially to well-being in each of body, mind, and emotions.

Be guided. Listen to the small, still voice inside - the inner voice of the Higher Self. Intuition is that voice of the Higher Self.

We are more likely to make good decisions when we feel that it is right rather than thinking about it endlessly. Feelings are closer to our truth than thinking. Our truth is our truth and not someone else's truth.

We are responsible for our own journey. Therefore, doctor's are best viewed as consultants with specialized knowledge. They are a member of the team, but in each situation, we have to decide for ourselves what is right for us.

Meditation is the most important single spiritual practice that we can do. It is the most sincere form of prayer. It is the most powerful integrative and regenerative tool for all aspects (body, mind, emotions and spirit) of our being.

The journey is unique for every individual. It doesn't matter what diagnosis a person has, every individual with the same diagnosis will experience the illness differently and require different approaches and timing in their treatments. So often, people assume that because you say that I have this or that type of cancer that they know everything about your situation. Every case/person is unique! There is no one right answer!

As humans in body consciousness, we experience fear and anxiety, especially about death of the body. As Spirit, we have a source of perfect peace and love within us.

We are spirit inhabiting a body. We are not the body. When the body dies, we do not die.

If it is not effortless, it is not Real. Effort indicates ego involvement and lack of perfect coordination with Nature unfolding. As we live more in Spirit, we live more in the flow of Nature and thus more effortlessly.

We are energetic beings. There is more to us than what you normally see. The body is the most obvious of our structures. More refined levels do exist. Thus we have the aura, chakras, energy meridians, etc. Being aware of the more refined aspects of our being helps us to understand and control how we function and interact with others. This awareness opens us to all sorts of theraputic modalities based on the energetic fields.

Angels do exist. Angels can be great help if we'll listen to their guidance. It's part of the listening to the quiet voice in the inner stillness. But we are still responsible to make decisions for ourselves. Angels are like doctors, they are spirits with specialized knowledge. We, however, must make the decisions for ourselves. Get to know your angels!!!

It seems that Nature has provided a variety of cures for every illness. Every cure path is perfect within itself, but may not be perfect when mixed with other cure paths. So when we try everything we ever heard of and our friends have ever heard of about how to cure an illness, we may not be getting as much benefit as a single, well thought out course of action following a particular cure path. The question for every addition to the treatment program must be, "Will this support what I am already doing?" More is not always better!
